As a requirement for my Doctorate of Musical Arts degree, I will be giving a chamber music recital on the harpsichord. I will be joined by Asako Takeuchi (Baroque violin), Andrew Arceci (viola da gamba/Renaissance cittern), and Hilary Jones (flute).
The program will explore Baroque variation forms, particularly the Ground Bass, and its relation to folk music popular during the 1600s and 1700s.
The concert will be at 12:30 PM in the Mabel Smith Douglass Room in the Douglass Library, Cook/Douglass Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Admission is free
